Internal Lifting Tools (ILT)
Standard
IHC's
Expensive welding and use of temporary padeyes on piles is no longer required.
The internal lifting tool can be inserted into a pile either in a vertical or horizontal position. A cone at the forward end of the clamp facilitates stabbing.
The horizontal pick-up arm, installed to handle the unloaded tool horizontally, can be easily removed to allow the tool to pass through narrow pile guides.
Sub sea use is allowed for a standard tool to a maximum water depth of 500m.
One single hydraulic cylinder, which movement is transferred internally to the outer wedges by the shell of the tool, generates the clamp and release motion.
The outer wedges are equally spaced around the shell of the tool and are provided with hardened alloy steel gripping elements, so called button plates.
This combination makes our ILT a very reliable and fail-safe tool.
Each ILT suits a certain pile diameter range, adjustment to a different pile diameter is easily done by adding or removal of wedge- and guide spacers. Table below shows you a overview of the ILT's in our product range.
