Jacket Pile Grippers (JPG)
Several years ago IHC Handling Systems added a product to its' product range which contributes to safety during installation of an offshore jacket or template.
Jacket Pile Grippers (JPG) are welded on top of a template's pile sleeves or a jacket's skirt-pile sleeves during fabrication.
After foundation piles are driven, selected corners of the structure can be secured. The temporary connections created facilitate the levelling process.
Rigid, temporary connections provide the following important advantages during the installation process.

- |
simplified levelling procedure, as selected corners can be secured as levelling progresses, only one levelling tool is needed. |
|
- |
relative movement during grouting and grout curing is prevented by the rigid JPG connection. |
|
- |
jacket structure can be quickly secured in case of emergency caused by weather conditions. |
|
- |
reduced jacket installation time because of increased efficiency. |
IHC Handling Systems designs and manufactures JPG's as complete fabricated and pre-installed units, ready to be welded to the upper section of the skirt-pile sleeve.
In addition to these standard versions IHC Handling Systems also offers the possibility to integrate guide cones or other special requirements.
In combination with our levelling equipment no special, expensive parts are needed.
