Skidding Systems
Skidding is the most cost effective and accurate method of moving and positioning heavy loads. As simple as the principle itself is, its execution is highly sophisticated. A heavy load to be moved, is pushed or pulled over supporting skid beams by compactly build hydraulic skidding units.
IHC Handling Systems, with 40 years skidding experience, manufactures a wide range of skidding systems. Our systems find their way into a variety of markets;

Our skid units are able to generate very large traction forces in small, confined spaces. This feature makes them ideally suited for accurate horizontal movement of heavy loads.
In addition to the skidding systems itself IHC Handling Systems also manufactures the hydraulic power pack and operation panels, if needed even as explosion proof version to work in hazardous areas.
